2015 – Present Lead all aspects of the software development process, including coordinating kick off meetings with sales and the pm/project lead, monitoring tasks assigned to teams, assigning employees and/or contractors to each project when needed, helping developers choose the best technology for VND’s client solutions, attending open projects meetings with client and project leads, check progress of each project with developers and define plans of action when needed, update projects status on in house reporting system, ensure developer standards are met, coordinate client payments between project phases and fill in as a pm/project lead based on work load. Work closely with sales to check and approve estimations, review leads, assist with complex application development architecture decisions, and manage in house customer ticket system for ongoing requests. Perform practical QC supervision of PM/project leads to assure proper project management. Perform supervision of all developers and direct customer service operations, including comprehensive use of the ticket system, weekly timesheet reporting for payroll, overtime, PTO, and work from home approval, developer standards compliance (weekly client contact, promptness, clean work areas, etc.), developer coaching on client service skills. Aid in employee and contractor recruitment as well as payroll and performance review reporting. Work on the constant improvement of VND’s internal processes, systems and technology offering.
2008 - 2015 Work closely with project managers and other members of the development team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Attend sales meetings when necessary and produce project estimates during sales process Assign projects to in house programming team members and evaluate their work performance. Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients. Communicate with the project manager and team lead with of any progress and/or delays. Alert colleagues of emerging technologies, applications, and design and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and projects. Develop innovative, reusable Web-based tools to be used as components for future applications. Develop reusable code with adequate comments and error trapping.
